Fireline

| Project name | Fireline | | --- | --- | | | Visualizing past fires, predicting future threats, protecting California | | Short Project Description | FireLine is an interactive wildfire‐simulation and risk‐analysis tool built around a California wildfire dataset of house damages and fire locations. It displays a map with layered overlays (polygons for existing fires, geospatial data, and property information) to help users understand wildfire impact across different regions. Users can start or simulate a fire in a chosen location, and the system predicts how quickly and widely it will spread based on underlying terrain, weather parameters, and historical data, allowing to train firefighters and inform decision makers. Crucially, FireLine allows homeowners to check if their house lies in a danger zone, estimate the risk of it burning, and gauge how quickly a fire might reach it. By integrating geospatial datasets and real‐time simulation, FireLine offers a comprehensive view of wildfire behaviour, empowering individuals and communities to assess their vulnerability and make informed decisions. | | Features | - Interactive 3D Map
